The Museum Café offers healthy fare with influences from around the world including tasty salads and soups, sandwiches, wraps, and paninis, rotating entrées, tempting desserts, and beer and wine. Many of the dishes offered are inspired by the Museum's current exhibitions.
Chef Brenda Simon has honed her skills in world regional cuisines with 18 years chef experience and an award-winning honors degree from the California Culinary Academy, and as owner of The Secret Ingredient.
"I am excited to bring the authentic tastes of the Caribbean, Asia, and Italy to Santa Barbara," says Simon. "I very much try to incorporate raw, or live, foods and utilize the freshest ingredients available. This is healthy food... but with big flavors and complex textures that will satisfy vegetarians and meat-eaters alike."
