In this 12-week after-school program, students paint, sketch, and construct art inspired by the Museum’s Latin American photography exhibition. Create a three-dimensional fabric version of Cuban photographer Raúl Corrales’ Blue Jeans, Cuba (1948), paint a colorful portrait of Frida Kahlo as inspired by Lola Álvarez Bravo’s black-and-white photograph of her artist friend, layer everyday objects (including your own shoes) and combine with an abstract pastel painted landscape to create your personalized version of Leysis Quesada Vera’s photograph Cuba (2006).
