From an exclusive private visit to Highclere Castle, the filming location of Downton Abbey, to an optional performance at the Glyndebourne Opera, this tour offers experiences many dream about. Highlights include private visits with the owners of country estates and gardens, visits to Sissinghurst and the Charleston Farmhouse, old haunts of the Bloomsbury group, and Highgrove, the country estate of Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall. Custom-crafted and exclusive for SBMA Members, the tour will be led by art historian and author Lucy Abel Smith, a consultant and guest lecturer for various museums, including the Victoria and Albert Museum and Sotheby’s, and founder of the popular Fresh Air Sculpture Show, which takes place on the grounds of her home.
