French Connection: The Romance of Black
Board a chartered coach in Santa Barbara on Tuesday morning and head off to Grand Avenue in downtown L.A. for an included lunch at the forthcoming restaurant Otium, where we have secured an advance reservation. The Broad is steps away from the restaurant. The museum does not allow group tours, however, we will bypass the normal ticketing line and receive a greeting and museum introduction.
In the evening gather in the lobby of our hotel and walk to the Walt Disney Concert Hall, designed by Frank Gehry, for a wine‐tasting reception. We will see CITY OF LIGHT: Chamber Music from France where artists of LA Philharmonic create an intimate and personal performance.
On Wednesday morning after breakfast at the hotel, enjoy time to visit the MOCA, and then depart for the Getty Center, for a tour of Noir: The Romance of Black in 19th‐Century French Drawings and Prints. After free time for an independent lunch and browsing the other galleries, depart for Santa Barbara, arriving in the evening.
