Join us on an SBMA Members-only bus trip to the Huntington Library, Art Collections, and Botanical Gardens! Once there, enjoy a 90 minute docent-led walking tour of the traditional Suzhou style gardens. These sprawling gardens include waterfalls, hand-carved stone bridges, and a 1.5 acre lake. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes, as we will be traversing the grounds by foot. In addition to the gardens, this will be the 2nd day that Project Blue Boy will be on view. The Blue Boy, by Thomas Gainsborough, is undergoing its first major conservation in public view by giving visitors a glimpse into the high technical processes of a senior conservator working on the piece. After our tour of the Chinese Gardens, there will be free time on your own to check out Project Blue Boy, the Library, and lunch on your own at one of the 5 wonderful restaurants on the premises.

This event is for SBMA Members only.
