This summer, SBMA is offering seven weeks of art camp. Children spend their day immersed in hands-on art making and creative problem solving, while being inspired by original works of art from the Museum’s collection and special exhibitions.

Registration open now.

Week 1: June 16 – 20

Week 2: June 23 – 27

Week 3: July 7 – 11

Week 4: July 14 – 18

Week 5: July 21 – 25

Week 6: July 28 – August 1

Week 7: August 4 – 8

Teaching Assistant (TA) positions are for 15 – 18-year-olds interested in art and/or working with children. The positions are on a volunteer basis and count toward required community service hours.

The TAs are responsible for assisting the Teaching Artist in the classroom, preparing materials, and helping children with hands-on art-making. They provide a vital element of SBMA programming, including being role models for students and campers, as well as an added source of fun and enthusiasm. Teaching Artists rely heavily on the TAs to ensure that their classrooms run smoothly.
