Poised both geographically amidst mountains and sea, and aesthetically amidst native visual culture and cutting edge contemporary art, Vancouver is a standout in the international art scene, and for very good reason. With artists ranging from Rodney Graham (recipient of the Audain Prize for lifetime achievement) to Jeff Wall (creator of the 5th most expensive photograph ever sold at auction), Vancouver artists are known far and wide for their excellence. Guests will be immersed in all that Vancouver's art scene has to offer, as well as top art and garden destinations in Victoria and Whistler during day trips. Enjoy director- and scholar-led visits to leading art museums, galleries, artist studios, and private collections, spanning the spectrum of the area’s visual culture.

July in Vancouver is at its finest with pleasant temperatures averaging around 70° to 72° during the day, overnight temperatures around 58°, the least rainfall of the year, and long days with sunsets after 9 pm. The tour is based for five nights at the Wedgewood Hotel Vancouver, a boutique member of the prestigious Relais & Chateaux hotel group. Led by art experts, the tour will offer a deep insight into the history of Canada's native arts, as well as an understanding of the dynamic and current art that continues to thrive in the Pacific Northwest.
