Southern Spain: Andalucía and Madrid with Art Historian Nigel McGilchrist - FULL
Join Nigel McGilchrist for a show-stopping tour of Southern Spain and Madrid. Begin in Seville and stay at the city’s top hotel, in walking distance of the spectacular cathedral, and experience a private evening at the Royal Alcázar and its magnificent gardens. In Cordoba, visit the mosque-cathedral La Mezquita with its impressive forest of columns and arches. Spend two nights at The Alhambra Palace Hotel, in walking distance to our evening visit of the Alhambra Palace. Return the following day to tour the magnificent Generalife gardens. End in Madrid for after-hours tours of the Prado and the Thyssen-Bornemisza, two of the world’s best museums. Also discover the lesser-known gem, the Sorolla Museum, and step inside a private home to see an Old Masters drawing collection. On a day trip from Madrid, visit the medieval town of Avila and Segovia, known for its well-preserved elevated ancient Roman aqueduct and Gothic Cathedral.
