Annual Fund

Did you know that individual giving accounts for more than 25% of the Santa Barbara Museum of Art’s annual budget?! One out of every four dollars needed to support our world class exhibitions and community serving programs comes from donors like you.

Here are just three of the many ways your support impacts the Museum:

  • You keep our doors open and our exhibitions accessible: It takes a staff of nearly 100 people to keep the Museum open and running on a daily basis. Supporting these critical employees and their families means greeting a friendly, eager staff at every encounter.
  • You make programming available to all: Art classes for students of all ages, free Sketching and Writing in the Galleries, scholarly lectures, musical performances, and so much more takes place at the Museum on any given day. There is truly something available for everyone, often for free or with a reduced cost available.
  • You bring thousands of local students on field trips: Teachers universally confirm that the benefits of introducing art into the school day can be seen and felt inside and outside the classroom building empathy, confidence, and community.

Thank you. In times like these, every gift counts, and you are answering the call. Thank you for providing critical funding so that the Museum can continue to thrive as a center for art and community. To learn more, contact Molly Kemper, Annual Fund Manager, at mkemper@sbma.net
